Aries dogs and cats

An Aries dog or cat goes first. First out of the car, first up the stairs, first to investigate the strange noise in the hall at midnight. Mars rules them, so they are brave and easily bored, with sulks that flare and fade in seconds, and they forgive faster than anyone else under your roof.

After a wild evening of chasing nothing up the curtains, they drop onto your chest, purr like an engine and fall asleep within a minute, as if the whole thing was your idea.
Aries rabbits, birds and small wonders
Through the hutch door before it is fully open, an Aries rabbit then stamps at you for being slow. Aries guinea pigs wheek first and loudest at the rustle of the hay bag. A budgie with this birthday tries every perch in the cage within a minute of moving in, and an Aries horse wants to lead the ride, ears forward, quite sure about the gate.
Nose prints at exactly one height on the front door give a Ram away, along with a newest toy already in pieces and a bed that belongs to whoever reaches it first, which is never you. Then there is the bark or meow that starts before the doorbell rings and a sulk that lasts a few minutes before they forget what it was about.
Play games with a winner, ideally them, and give short bursts of your full attention rather than long polite stretches of half of it. Offer something new to investigate often, even just a different corner of the park. Let the sulks pass without fuss, because an Aries pet has usually forgotten them long before you do.
Most Aries pets would rather sprint than snuggle, which suits a fire owner perfectly and teaches water owners to laugh at the chaos. Air owners invent the new games that keep this little firecracker interested, and earth owners turn out to be what an Aries secretly wanted all along, someone calm to collapse on after the charge.
