What does the 11th house mean?
This is the house of belonging. It describes the friendships that last, the networks and causes you’re drawn to, and the kind of support that seems to arrive just when you need it most. It also holds your hopes, the long dreams you carry for your life and for the world.
Planets here are social and look toward the future. A busy 11th house often belongs to a connector, an organiser or an idealist, someone whose friends are a kind of chosen family.
Why is the 11th house called the Good Spirit?
In Hellenistic astrology the 11th house was the place of the Good Spirit, the Agathos Daimon, and Jupiter, the greatest of the benefics, had its joy here. It was thought to bring friends, benefactors and hope.
Next door sat the 12th house, the Bad Spirit. Along with the 5th, Good Fortune, the 11th was one of the two most favoured houses outside the angles. Friendship, it turns out, has always been considered a blessing.
Which birth time puts your Sun in the 11th house?

Why is my 11th house bigger or smaller than 30°?

To size the houses, Hali sampled Placidus cusps through an entire day at every latitude shown. The clock samples 2001 at 40.4° north, one day in four, finding the Sun’s Placidus house every ten minutes, local solar time. Vettius Valens’s Anthology, and the wider Hellenistic tradition, supply the house names of old and the planetary joys.
