The second decan of Virgo

What the second decan of Virgo is like

Saturn brings discipline and long patience. You are dependable to the core, and your work tends to stand the test of time.

Saturn rules this decan because it rules Capricorn, a earth sign like Virgo.

The Virgo underneath

Virgo season is harvest time, when the fields come in and everything is sorted for the months ahead. You notice the crooked picture frame, the missing comma, the friend who went quiet. Your love shows up as care in the small things, and the small things are where life actually happens.

How decans work

Each sign is thirty degrees of the zodiac, split into three decans of ten degrees, so the Sun spends about ten days in each. Hali uses the modern decan rulers, where each decan borrows the ruler of a sign of the same element. The older Chaldean system of Hellenistic astrology hands the decans to the seven classical planets in a fixed order instead, so some books name a different ruler.
