Hali started with a simple question. What if astrology tools were held to the same standard as the astronomy they claim to use?
Most apps round your planets to the nearest sign and hand you a paragraph that could apply to anyone. Hali does something different. We calculate your chart from NASA JPL ephemeris data, accurate to the arcminute, and then we write about what we actually find there.
What we build
Hali is a birth chart engine and reading platform. You enter your birth date, time and place. We compute the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at that moment, determine your houses, and identify the aspects between them. Then the Hali engine writes a reading based only on what appears in your chart.
Every sentence in a Hali reading traces back to a specific placement. If your Moon is at 14 degrees Scorpio in the 8th house, the text says so. Nothing is invented, nothing is padded.
What we believe
Astrology is a symbolic language, not a science. We think it deserves to be treated with both respect and honesty. That means being transparent about what the chart shows, what the tradition says and where our interpretation begins.
It also means refusing to do certain things. Hali will never predict your health, tell you when someone will die, manufacture fear to sell a product or assign compatibility scores to real relationships. Those choices are not limitations. They are the point.
